Absence

Students need to check Google Classroom and communicate with the teacher to establish a time for completion. Please give advanced notice if you know that you will be out.

If absent on the day of the test or quiz, you should plan to make it up the day you return.

If absent for two or more days immediately before the test or quiz, check with your teacher to establish an appropriate time to make up the test or quiz.

Homework

Since homework is a direct extension of the classwork, students are encouraged to complete assignments the day they are given so that they can get extra help before it is due if needed.

The amount of homework is a direct reflection of the level of the class and also a reflection of a student’s work ethic in class. Students that don’t use class time appropriately could potentially have more homework.

Work counts as approximately 10% of the marking period grade.

Every unit will conclude with an assessment, and may have several smaller assessments within the unit.
