Jamesville-DeWitt High School students will get their chance to shine as WSYR NewsChannel 9 brings its live Friday Morning Lights broadcast to the school district this week.
Friday Morning Lights is a segment of WSYR’s Morning News program that highlights high schools across Central New York during the football season. Friday Morning Lights will be broadcasting live from J-DHS Stadium from 6 to 7 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 6.
Morning News anchor Rachel Polansky and meteorologist Kate Thornton will highlight our teams, programs, and students. Some students might even be interviewed!
“When we were approached to take part in Friday Morning Lights we jumped at the opportunity to showcase our school and students. We have so much to be proud of and we’re excited to share that with the greater Central New York community,” said Athletics Director Frederick Wheeler. “We’re especially excited about ramping up the energy and community support for our football program. We think this will be a great way to kick off the season.”
You can also watch the Varsity Football team in action later that night as they take on Solvay. The game kicks off at J-DHS Stadium at 6:30 p.m.
