A new Red Ram mascot is officially joining the Jamesville-DeWitt Central School District family!
The mascot will be unveiled during a high school pep rally this Friday. We’ll be sharing sneak peek photos on the district’s Facebook page leading up to the unveiling all week.
It was made by Loonie Times, which produces mascot costumes for a range of companies and organizations, including schools and colleges. It was purchased alongside a 7-by-9-foot “battle flag” with funds from the student government’s student activities account.
The mascot costume will be worn by a student who was chosen following a round of interviews. It will serve as a symbol of pride at district-wide events, make appearances at all school buildings, and help hype up fans at sporting events.
Go J-D Red Rams!
