J-D students place in Syracuse Stage Young Playwrights Festival

Out of more than 250 plays submitted to the 2024 Syracuse Stage Young Playwrights Festival this year, 25 plays written by Jamesville-DeWitt High School students were selected as semifinalists and quarterfinalists.

Quarterfinalist recognition is given to the top 25% of plays submitted to the competition. The top 16 playwrights in the competition receive semifinalist recognition and are invited to a workshop at Syracuse Stage to receive feedback from professional playwrights and theater professors. The top 8 of these revised plays will be performed at the Syracuse Stage Young Playwrights Festival on Tuesday, April 30.

Congratulations!
