We’re excited to share that Jamesville-DeWitt High School senior Rashelle Torres-Mendoza and junior Stefanie Cervantes have been selected to attend the Puerto Rican-Hispanic Youth Leadership Institute (PRHYLI) Syracuse Delegation’s annual trip to Albany. All delegates were involved in the selection process.
The chosen student delegates will visit the Assembly Floor of the New York State Capitol Building from March 9-11 for a Mock Assembly. They will get to deliver arguments in favor or against current bills in the legislative process.
This is just one example of how PRHYLI helps empower students and gives them opportunities to develop leadership skills.
Congratulations Rashelle and Stefanie on this amazing opportunity!
