A member of Jamesville-DeWitt High School’s Class of 1983 will be honored next month by the Greater Syracuse Hall of Fame.
Scott Schwedes, a former J-D football player who also played professionally for the Miami Dolphins, will be inducted into the hall of fame during the 35th Annual Greater Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame Dinner.
The dinner will take place on Nov. 11 at the Ramada by Wyndham in Liverpool. Information on the dinner and how to purchase tickets is available online.
Founded in 1987, the hall of fame pays tribute to the men and women whose achievements in the world of sports have made Syracuse synonymous with athletic success and have brought special honor to our community, according to the not-for-profit’s website.
