The Jamesville-DeWitt Central School District will be seeking a new Tecumseh Elementary School principal following the resignation of current principal Tokinma Killins, who will be leaving her position on June 30.
“We wish Ms. Killins well on her future endeavors, and we will strive to make this transition as seamless as possible for our students and staff,” Superintendent Peter Smith said in a letter to Tecumseh families and staff. “We hope to have the position filled as soon as possible.”
To inform its search process, the district will be opening a ThoughtExchange on Thursday, June 24, to gather input on the characteristics, values and skills that Tecumseh families and staff feel are important in a school leader and, specifically, the leader of Tecumseh Elementary School. The district will send Tecumseh families and staff the ThoughtExchange information via SchoolMessenger.
District officials will use the feedback gathered through the ThoughtExchange, which will be open through July 2, to help inform its search process. Any questions or concerns during the search process should be directed to the superintendent.
