The Jamesville-DeWitt Central School District is located in the Central New York region, just outside of the City of Syracuse in Onondaga County. The district has a total enrollment of about 2,700 students across its five schools, which include three elementary schools (grades preK-4), one middle school (grades 5-8) and one high school (grades 9-12).
The district was established in 1950 as a centralization of the districts in the DeWitt, Jamesville and Lyndon areas. It primarily serves families in the town of DeWitt but portions of the district are also in the towns of LaFayette, Manlius, Onondaga and Pompey. The district is committed to providing all students opportunities through academics, the arts, athletics and extracurricular activities to develop to their full potential and be successful so they become responsible and productive members of society.
