The New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) recently announced its fall 2021 scholar-athlete teams and individuals, which includes 10 Jamesville-DeWitt High School varsity athletic teams and 143 J-D student-athletes.
This is the 30th year NYSPHSAA has conducted the Scholar-Athlete program, which is sponsored by Pupil Benefits Plan, Inc. and the American Dairy Association North East. To qualify, a team’s grade point average must be above 90 for a specific number of individuals based on the total team roster.
This fall, NYSPHSAA recognized a total of 3,825 Scholar-Athlete teams and 48,023 individuals from 625 schools across the state. The Scholar-Athlete program honors schools each of the seasons there is interscholastic competition.
