Navigating no cost meal options at Jamesville-DeWitt

The Jamesville-DeWitt Central School District is happy to be able to provide all students with no cost meals over the next 4 years and we want to ensure families and students understand how it works.

In April, the district reapplied for the United States Department of Agriculture’s Community Eligibility Provision Program or CEP which helps schools provide 1 no cost breakfast and 1 no cost lunch for each student per day. If students choose to get additional meals or snacks their account will be charged.

A no cost breakfast includes 5 items. Students can choose 3 or more, 1 needs to be a fruit to be considered a meal. A no cost lunch also includes 5 items. Students can choose 3 or more, 1 needs to be a fruit or vegetable to be considered a meal.

Parents/Guardians can still add money to student meal accounts for additional meals, snacks, or drinks through myschoolbucks.com, checks made out to J-D Food Services, or cash. To sign up for MySchoolBucks, you will need your child’s nine digit student ID number which can be found in your parent portal
