We’re excited to share that Jamesville-DeWitt High School senior Amanda Aitken has been selected as a recipient of the 2024 National Spanish Exam/National Portuguese Exam Senior Scholarship.
The award is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. It recognizes students who have excelled in the language and on the National Spanish Exam. Amanda earned gold medals for levels 3, 4, and 5.
In addition to being a member of Spanish Honor Society, she is vice president of Spanish Club and recently was awarded the New York State Seal of Biliteracy. Amanda will be attending Boston College, where she plans to major in biology and minor in Spanish.
