The Jamesville-DeWitt Central School District strives to provide the best educational experience possible for our students. That’s why we continue to utilize student climate surveys. Responses provide invaluable insights that help the district improve and adapt to student needs.
To gather this vital feedback from students, the district will be administering a student climate survey from March 25 through April 19 in grades 3-12. The survey will be completed at school and is expected to take about 30-40 minutes to complete.
The survey content will ask students to self-reflect on belonging, school climate, engagement, rigorous expectations, school safety, teacher-student relationships, valuing of school, cultural awareness and action, and diversity and inclusion. Students will have the option to skip questions if they feel they can’t answer them.
The district is partnering with a third-party vendor to help administer the survey. The responses will be completely confidential. Parents/guardians can opt students out of the survey by contacting building principals.
If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Assistant Superintendent for Educational Services Peter Reyes at preyes@jd.cnyric.org.
