8 J-DHS students inducted into National Technical Honor Society

We’re proud to share that 8 J-D High School seniors were among 154 students recently inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS). These students attend Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs through OCM BOCES.

Students and families from across the region gathered for an Induction Ceremony at SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College on Tuesday, April 8. During the event, students lit 8 candles symbolizing the core attributes of NTHS: knowledge, skill, honesty, service, responsibility, scholarship, citizenship, and leadership. The students also received honor cords and tassels to wear during graduation.

The goal of the NTHS is to recognize deserving students who have chosen technical education pathways to a successful future. To be eligible, students must maintain a minimum grade average of 85, have strong attendance, receive a teacher recommendation and demonstrate a number of values.
