J-D students win Yom HaShoah Commemoration Narrative Competition

Four Jamesville-DeWitt High School students recently won first and second place in the Jewish Federation of Central New York’s Yom HaShoah Commemoration Narrative Competition.  Students in grades 7-12 were invited to participate by addressing the theme, “Being Courageous in Dangerous Times,” through art, poetry, essays, and/or digital media.  The winning works will be published in …

May calendar changes due to unused snow days

Assuming that the Jamesville-DeWitt Central School District does not have any more snow days or other emergency closure days, school will not be in session on Thursday, May 23, and Friday, May 24. Schools will also be closed on Monday, May 27 for Memorial Day. We hope you enjoy the long weekend.

Jamesville-DeWitt addresses recent RamFeed segment

On Wednesday, April 17, Jamesville-DeWitt High School’s student-run news club RamFeed produced a segment recognizing Arab American Heritage Month that was upsetting for members of our school community.  Students chose to feature Linda Sarsour. Board adopts $71.4 million budget proposal for 2024-25

The Jamesville-DeWitt Central School District Board of Education adopted the 2024-25 school budget proposal on Wednesday, April 17. The $71,356,980 million spending plan calls for a $1,922,535 or 2.77% increase in spending over the current year’s budget.  Like many districts across New York, Jamesville-DeWitt administrators were faced with a significant deficit while developing the budget. …

Lyndon Field Softball Complex renovations celebrated by Jamesville-DeWitt community

Tecumseh Learning Pad’s 2024 lemonade stand raises $7,273!
